A young-looking father/travelling businessman/widower and a mature-looking daughter/student at the academy of theatre have lived – since her birth, when her mother died – in a small, claustrophobic apartment. They are very close emotionally and while the father is away on a trip, the daughter finds a letter that might reveal that her father is not, in fact, her real father. On his return, she initiates a very dangerous domestic psychodrama. After a dark-night confrontation that skirts tragedy, balance is somehow restored to their relationship. The father has discovered that the fourth commandment also insists that parents must honour their children.
